‘Maamu ailaa re’ My mind thought aloud.
But before I could react, I got fined yet again this morning, all thanks to my boss! He invariably has to call me when I’m on my way to work. These bosses I tell you! I knew ek na ek din toh maamu pakdega hi! Today was the auspicious day. Just when I was at the crossing adjacent our office, my phone beeped. Invariably, it was my boss. The traffic light was red so I decided to take the call. But, as my poor luck would have it, the signal turned green just when I said “hello!” Lo and behold, a maamu (policeman in Mumbai) appeared in front of me almost out of from nowhere just as Gods would appear in B.R. Chopra’s serials mythological serials. He blew his whistle at me and swayed his stick in the air.
I had to part with the only five hundred rupees in my wallet, early in the morning. What a start to a day! I wish I had listened to my brother and bought the Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-104. He had told me how the ear loop was specially designed to fit one’s ears and how I could attend calls while doing other stuff. Phew, my five hundred bucks were gone. L
Anyways, it’s never too late to start afresh. Let me google the Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-104. Ah, impressive ergonomic design. I like! With the first impression turning into a long lasting one, I can only imagine how this wonder accessory will help me. To begin with, it will save me from maamu’s wrath in future. Now let my boss call me as much as he wishes too. I’m not going to bother about having one of my hands holding the phone to my mouth while the other maneuvers the car steering. (Hey, but I still believe attending to calls while driving is dangerous. Hope my boss believes it too!)
