What’s on the menu?
We Indians love khaana-peena! Be it a shaadi or a weekend get-together, our maximum planning goes into food and bar management. Yaar, is the taste okay? Yaar kam toh nahi padegi? What is the first thing that hits you when a friend tells you that he is coming back to India from abroad? Obviously assorted chocolates and a Jack Daniels or a Peter Scott from the Customs!
But ek baat to hai boss. As much as we enjoy eating, we love going out of our way to feed people too! Now, the problem isn’t the food or the liqueur. It is the paraphernalia around it. Firstly, get all bottles with corks out of sight because I don’t have a corkscrew and obviously anything with wine in it is not on my cooking list. So aren’t crab-dishes or lobster-dishes. Etcetera etcetera…
We thought, yaar ab khaana-peena hi hai to thoda style se. And voila, better sense dawned!
