Eyes mirror the soul
It was the morning of School Farewell Day and Tanya couldn’t decide what to wear. After rummaging through hundreds of her mother’s sarees in vain, she declared, “Mummy, not one is perfect! This one’s flashy, that one’s dull.”
Her mom beckoned towards a Banarasi saree, “What about that Rekha-style saree?” “Straight out of 70’s! I’ll end up as the worse-dressed girl in school today.” said Tanya reduced to a state of tears. And that was it. With the help of her mom Tanya donned the sky-blue chiffon saree, put on chunky brass earrings and all that remained now was the makeup. But that was the least of her worries.
