You never loved chopping so much!
Chop ’em like a chef!
Sakku Bai is back! (Deva, tera lakh-lakh shukar hai!) The good news is, she doesn’t want a salary hike and is now ready to cook all three meals for our entire family. Reason behind this magic, socho socho! The reason is my new Colourful Toughened Glass Cutting Board Combo.
Of late, Sakku Bai was being very careless with her cooking. Sometimes she would chop her finger while chopping onions and at others we would find onion peels in the curry. As always, she would get away with an excuse:
Arre madam, ye chhilka aur onion mix ho jata hai. Main kya karegi?
Madam mere ko nawa chhuri lake do, ye bohot sharp hai!
Ye kitchen counter itna ganda hai kuchh dikhtaich nai. Saaf karne ka extra paisa lagenga.
One day I had enough of her chik-chik and fired her. But after that my troubles began. Sakku Bai was right. My kitchen counter was a little slippery and each time I had to chop something (bread, vegetables or fruits), either my knife would scratch the counter top and damage my marble in the process or my stuff would slip and fall on the ground. One entire week without Sakku Bai was horrifying. Being a working woman I really didn’t have the time to cook. And yet I couldn’t let my husband and children order pizzas everyday! Then I saw Bindaas Bargain selling the Colourful Toughened Glass Cutting Board Combo: 1 Large + 1 Small Board. This was just what I needed!
I no longer had to bother about my Italian marble kitchen counter. Plus my vegetables, fruits and bread could be cut, sliced and chopped with ease. My Colourful Toughened Glass Cutting Board had bright fruity prints on them that added a dash of colour to my otherwise boring kitchen. Plus the boards were heat resistant, stain free and odour free. So no matter what I chopped on them, the boards remained sparkling clean! The smaller chopping board I reserved for slicing bread loaves while the larger one was exclusively for fruits and vegetables.
The other day Sakku Bai overheard me telling Rama about my new discovery, the Colourful Toughened Glass Cutting Board Combo: 1 Large + 1 Small Board. Guess what? She began a rapid fire round with me:
Madam, isse haath toh nai katenga?
Madam, isse knife to nai ghjisega?
Madam, isse aapka kitchen counter to kharaab nahi hoga?
“Arre nako re Sakku Bai! Ekdum maksa maafik sab kuchh kat jata hai” I reassured her.
“Toh phir kal se aati hai na main aapke ghar khaana pakaane!”she said.
Ah! I heaved a sigh of relief! Sakku Bai was back, thanks to my Colourful Toughened Glass Cutting Board Combo: 1 Large + 1 Small Board.
(Waise, with the Colourful Toughened Glass Cutting Board Combo: 1 Large + 1 Small Board around, even I am proud to say, mere haathon me bhi jaadu hai!

These sound and look really great! I can relate to cutting your finger, especially with onions. I also know the scratches and marks most cutting boards get after a while. Sounds like these toughened glass cutting boards are pretty resistant against knife marks though.
